Panel chair at Society for Cinema & Media Studies Conference, Chicago, IL, April 2025
When I'm not teaching, (over)analyzing reality TV, or gathering brilliant minds around African and Black diasporic film and art, I write. With deep support and nurturing from WATZS Productions and a team of talented actors and crew, my first screenplay became my film This Thing Is Not for You (2022). In this short, speculative drama, generations of an Igbo American family react very differently to an announcement by the first Black woman president of the United States.
I’m currently cultivating new film and TV projects. Find out more about those here.
